Creating checkpoints

Coronasync supports the notion of “checkpoints.” A checkpoint is a way to make a specific instance of your data the “master” copy from which all other clients will be updated.

Once you create a checkpoint, all clients which you sync after that will receive that checkpoint as their new data. This lets you override the “merging” of data which Coronasync does. This is useful for data you may have cleaned up or to make sure all your clients are at the same point.

You can create a checkpoint for any Coronasync synclet.

To create a checkpoint, first select the “Settings” button, then choose the “Checkpoint” tab.

Choose the synclet to create a checkpoint for.

Choose a specific application/instance to use as the checkpoint.

Click the “Apply” button and acknowledge the warning message by clicking “Yes”.

The checkpoint will be created.
